                              ORDINANCE NO.   9878 
                  
                  
                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE,
                   PART II, SECTION 24-501, RELATIVE TO
                   SCHEDULE I. THROUGH STREETS DESIGNATED, AND
                   SECTION 24-502, RELATIVE TO SCHEDULE II.
                   SPEED ON THROUGH STREETS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Section
       24-501, Schedule I, as amended, be and the same is hereby further 

       amended so as to delete the following:
            Elder Mountain Road.  From Brown's Ferry Road to Raccoon
                 Mountain Lake Power Plant Road.
           
       and to add the following to Section 24-501:
            Fairview Road.  From Gann Store Road to the City Limits.
           
            Elder Mountain Road.  From Brown's Ferry Road to the
                 City Limits.
           
       	    	 SECTION 2.  Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Section
       24-502, Schedule II, as amended, be and the same is hereby 
further
       amended so as to delete the following:
            Elder Mountain Road.  40 miles per hour from Isbill Road
                 to Raccoon Mountain Lake Power Plant Road.
           
       and to add the following to Section 24-502:
            Fairview Road.  35 miles per hour from Hamill Road to
                 the City Limits.
           
            Elder Mountain Road.  40 miles per hour from Isbill Road
                 to the City Limits.
           
       	    	 SECTION 3.  This Ordinance shall be effective two (2)
       weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
